I can't remember what exactly prompted me to piece this one together but it was probably a bunch of news articles at the time, similar to the EU banning of certain Emojis that has been in the news this month (April 2026).I'm always so surprised the road the EU is going down. It often seems very Soviet-esque to me in many ways (banning emojis, ignoring referenda, installing a leader without an opponent).
So this is why I came up with this.
I'm happy with the execution as it forebodes what could lie ahead (I hope it does not) and I am also happy with the song result.
